Malcolm has over 25 years experience working with the book industry, both in retail and publishing. His recent experiences as the CEO of the Australian Booksellers Association and Group Communications Manager of the multi-national retailer RedGroup Retail give him a unique insight into the decline of bookstores generally and fueled his desire to move into the then developing world of eBooks. In a three year career at Kobo he has been at the vanguard of Kobo’s push into new markets in the South and South East Asia, giving him a unique perspective on what he sees as the coming changes to publishing and reading in that region.
While the change currently underway in publishing globally is difficult to predict and manage, Malcolm sees great opportunity for publishers and authors in the region to develop their reach both in their own countries and in diasporic communities around the world.
