K.E. Priyamvada has 12 years’ work experience as an editor, content developer and manager. Over the last 4 years, as a Publishing Manager at Taylor & Francis India, she helped establish an offshore team of Editorial Researchers who work for the reference division of Routledge Books UK. She has a BA (Hons) in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College and an MA and M.Phil in English Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She won Mastermind India, a solo quiz contest, telecast on BBC World, in the year 2000. Animal Antics (forthcoming, 2012) is her first book.
Animal Antics combines her interest in wildlife and the environment with her love for poetry and wordplay. Through this whimsical book of ‘Fun and Factual’ poetry she hopes to introduce or reacquaint young readers with some animals and birds, by providing interesting scientific information about endangered wildlife in an engaging and easily readable manner. As a volunteer recording audiobooks for visually challenged students at university, she developed an interest in how technology can enable access to content by users, and can enhance the delivery of content. She hopes to optimally utilize various technology delivery methods, including e-book and audio book formats, to enable readers and listeners to engage with this book, and others to follow.
